Course Description
Our Provide First Aid Course in a Childcare Setting HLTAID012 (prev. HLTAID004) is a nationally accredited and we will provide all participants a qualification to be a First Aid repsonder in a Childcare centre or school. Our Childcare First Aid courses are hands on with many practical and real life senarios.

Course Format

- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation CPR & Defibrillator (adult, child & infant)
- Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
- Fractures and dislocations
- Burns and scalds
- Head, chest and spinal injuries
- Fainting and unconsciousness
- Bandaging techniques

- Asthma management
- Anaphylaxis management

Assessment
- Online videos & multiple choice exam
- Practical first aid & CPR demonstrations / skills assessments

After successfully completing the training, all participants will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for:

- HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (valid for 12 months)
- HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support (valid for 3 years)

We issue certificates on the same day!
Only for training completed during week days. All other certificates are issued by close of business the following business day. Any additional A4 Hard Copy and wallet-sized certificates can be issued for an additional $10 (ask our staff for more details) to help keep certification details handy.

Our training centre in Alexandria / Beaconsfield is just 6km south of Sydney CBD and next to Green Square station (short 5 minute walk).
How to get to our training centre:
By train – Our training centre is close to Green Square station. Take the train from Sydney Central station and exit at Green Square. Conveniently located on Botany Road just take a 5 minute walk from Green Square to our training centre.
By bus – A variety of local buses stop outside of our training centre. Just catch any of the following buses to get to us:
Bus 308 – Wolli Creek to Bondi Juction
Bus 309 / Bus 310X – Central Railway Square to Banksmeadow
Bus 309X – Central Railway Square to Port Botany
Bus 320 – Mascot to Gore Hill
By car – There is limited free parking available on Collins St and Queen St. You can also find free 2h on-street parking close by. All of our courses will have a break which will allow you to check on your car or move it.

First Aid Coach Sydney’s First Aid Course for Teachers and Childcare workers HLTAID012 is suited for everyone, including:

Training Program
Our course includes 3 components:
1. Pre-study & online-assessment
2. Practical training
3. Assessment for both knowledge & skills
All participants should allow up to 2 hours for the pre-study to be completed. If you have completed First Aid training in the past, you may be able to finish the pre-study in a shorter timeframe.
Because of the online pre-study, our practical session will take around 3-4 hours.

Pre-requisites
This course requires every participant to complete a variety of First Aid scenarios including practical assessments. If your health/fitness restricts you from completing all required scenarios, you still will be able to participate but may not be eligible to receive the nationally accredited Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting certificate.

Our First Aid Course is designed in plain English and combines text, videos & photos and online exam. We want to ensure that all students have the best possible chance on comprehending all First Aid knowledge and skills. If assistance is required, we are here to help. Certification

Online pre-study requirements
Online pre-study requires access to a computer and internet connection. Students have to successfully complete the online study before joining us for the practical part.
Cancellation policy
We do not cancel any courses. Once you booked and we confirmed the course with you, we will run the training for you.
If you have to cancel the course, we are happy to reschedule at no extra cost.

What is the difference between Provide First Aid HLTAID003 and First Aid for Teacher and Carer HLTAID004?
Our Provide First Aid in an Education Setting is focused on teachers, childcare workers and carers. If you are looking after infants, toddlers or children, this course is mandatory for you.
The First Aid Course HLTAID004 is covering everything in relations to providing First Aid for a child and how to respond to any emergency situation involving kids.
Your First Aid certificate HLTAID004 will be valid for 3 years and you only need to join us for your annual CPR refresher.
